Abhijit has nearly 20 years of diverse experience in development finance, commercial banking and microfinance. At UC, Abhijit has played a key role in developing and building the firm’s business, particularly in the microfinance sector. Previously, Abhijit was an AGM with the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI), where he oversaw SIDBI’s microfinance portfolio in the state of Andhra Pradesh, and also acted as the business development manager for SME projects. Abhijit started his career with the State Bank of India (SBI), where he worked in a variety of business areas in six different locations within India. Abhijit has co-authored articles on microfinance in international journals and is regularly quoted in leading national dailies in India.

Abhijit has a Bachelors degree in economics from Kolkata University and is a Certified Associate of IIBF, Mumbai. He has also attended the School of Applied Microfinance Program in Kenya and the Program on Strategic Leadership for Microfinance at the Harvard Business School.

Abhishek leads the cleantech and B2B Finance practice at Unitus. He has worked across sectors such as financial inclusion, ed-tech, job-tech, renewable energy and water. Working closely with entrepreneurs, Abhishek executes capital raising goals across equity and debt and bring onboard like-minded investors.

Adarsha is responsible for the accounts and compliance at Unitus.

Previous work experience: 4 years of experience in hardcore Accounting and Finance. Before UC, he worked as Associate Consultant with Ujwal Management Services Pvt. Ltd.

Education: MBA with Finance specialisation from PESITM College, Shivamogga

At Unitus, Aditya is assisting in building the EdTech/Human Capital and Consumer Fintech practice. He works closely with entrepreneurs and the investor community to bridge the capital gap and delivering impact to the broader society.

Aiman assists in advising companies in transaction execution. He works closely with clients in providing meaningful research, collateral preparation, pitches and documentation logistics

Ajay joined Unitus Capital in March 2021 with 5 years of experience in Accounting, and Compliance. Prior to joining Unitus Capital, he worked as Accounts executive with Resolve Biz Services Pvt. Ltd. where he was handling accounting and compliance for a client. Now at UC, he is taking care of Accounts and Compliance for the company. Ajay holds  MBA from GITAM University , Bangalore.

Albert joined Unitus in September 2023 as an Associate and has 6+ years of experience in Deal Advisory and Investment Banking. Previously he worked in a boutique investment bank based out of Bangalore where he worked on deal executions. He has looked into sectors such F&B, Healthcare, SaaS and Consumer in his previous roles. He loves playing football and spends his spare time watching movies.

Albert is a CFA Charteholder

Amit joined Unitus in 2015. He is a career investment banker with over 15 years of Investment Banking experience. He oversees business development and end-to-end execution of the transactions, fosters relationships with investors and entrepreneurs.

Education: Amit has done his MBA from ICFAI Business School, Mumbai, and Bachelor of Management Studies from Mumbai University.

Other interests: Amit is a fitness enthusiast – he spends most of his weekend mornings running and cycling.

Amit Jhanvar joined Unitus Capital in April 2015, with over 9 years of work experience in investment banking and research background. He has both debt and equity transaction experience and has worked across industries from consumers to industrials, healthcare, renewable energy, agriculture & allied industries, etc.

Previous work experience: Before joining UC, Amit worked with JR Laddha Financial Services, RRA Advisory, Ladderup Corporate Advisory and D. E. Shaw India.

Education: Amit has a degree in Commerce from Shivaji University and has done his MBA from ICFAI Business School, Mumbai.

Amit has 20+ years of post-qualification experience, which includes 15 years in the broad PE/VC investing and M&A either as an investment banker, diligence advisor, or as an investor, along with experience in audit and accounting. During these years, he has experience working on deals across multiple industries and complex, multiple deals (small to billion-dollar deals). He raised capital for many companies benefiting those at the bottom of the economic pyramid in microfinance, renewable energy, healthcare, and education.

Amit was earlier part of the founding team at TVS Capital funds, where he worked in fundraising and investing. He was also part of the diligence team and specialized in infrastructure deals (healthcare and power sector) at KPMG. Amit has experience from Elevar Equity and the World Bank as well.

Amit is a Chartered Accountant and a graduate in Commerce, and he has cleared the CPA exam from the state of Michigan.

Front Office Executive

Ann joined Unitus Capital in 2008 and has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. Previously, she served as COO of Global Corporate and Investment Banking at Bank of America Securities, and was an Executive Vice President at NASD (now FINRA) where she launched a strategic initiative to support brokerage firm regulatory compliance. Ann began her career as an investment banker at Morgan Stanley, where she worked for 18 years, rising to Managing Director. From 1994 to 1997, Ann was based in Hong Kong and Beijing where her clients included the People’s Republic of China, as well as leading corporations throughout Asia, non-Japan. Upon her return from Asia, Ann worked on the Morgan Stanley/Dean Witter merger transition team and subsequently joined Morgan Stanley’s Fixed Income Division as Head of Global High Yield Corporate Research.

Ann has an MS degree in Management from the MIT Sloan School and a BA degree from Wellesley College.

Arsalaan joined Unitus Capital as an Analyst in January 2022. Prior to this, he worked 4+ years at TresVista Financial Services (Mumbai) where he was assisting the deal team of a global private equity in their investment evaluations. Prior to this, he has also interned at Zone Startups India Fund (Mumbai).

Arsalaan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce with majors in Financial Accounting & Auditing and has cleared CFA Level 1.

Balaji is a commerce graduate with an MBA in Agri-Business Management from MANAGE, Hyderabad. Has over 3 years of experience across financial consulting, Agricultural finance and ESG domains, has enabled multi-stakeholder partnerships with International Development Financial Institutions (DFIs) to bring in high impact debt capital to the tune of USD 50 million benefiting the stakeholders in Agri Value Chains and Small holder farmers.

He has supported Impact Investing through delivery and implementation of One of India’s first agriculture Green bonds for globally recognized thematic interventions in areas of sustainable agriculture, and climate smart Agri-value chains. Before Unitus, he was earlier with Samunnati and PWC.

His interests include Table Tennis and Japanese Manga.

“Devharsh, a Chartered Accountant, joined the Equity team at Unitus Capital in June 2023. His experience includes work in the audit and assurance services practice at PwC, contributing to multiple sectors. He then worked at Klub, a Sequoia-backed revenue-based financing startup, where as an Investment Associate, assisted D2C and e-commerce companies raise debt.

Devharsh has a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce with a specialization in Finance from Christ University. His interests encompass reading, gaming, and a keen focus on technology and entrepreneurship.”

Eric has 25+ years of investment banking experience. He moved to India in 2007 to help set up Unitus Capital (UC), an impact-focused investment bank and has led the company in raising almost US$3 billion for various impact businesses. He has had the privilege of working with many innovative companies that operate in financial inclusion, affordable healthcare, renewable energy, affordable education, women empowerment, and agriculture. Under his leadership, UC has been ranked the #1 Indian investment bank by Venture Intelligence for the past six years.

Previously, Eric ran Citigroup’s Asian investment banking franchise in the power and infrastructure sectors and helped secure and execute multiple landmark equity, debt and M&A transactions, totalling many billions of dollars. Eric was based in NYC and Hong Kong for 14 years with Citigroup/Salomon Brothers. He also headed Salomon’s utilities sector equity research and was selected to Institutional Investors’ All-Asia research team.

Eric is a graduate (cum laude) of Duke University and Harvard’s Kennedy School, where he received the Lucius N. Littauer Fellow Award, the program’s top honor. Eric serves on the boards of several leading companies, funds and educational institutions. In 2014, Eric was named Indian Expat Entrepreneur of the Year by Expat Entrepreneurs Circle. In 2016, he was awarded the Indira Gandhi Sadbhawana Award for his contributions to the impact investing sector. He is a highly sought after speaker, particularly in the impact investing world. Eric is a Fellow of the inaugural class of the Aspen Institute’s Finance Leaders Fellowship Program.

Other interests: Eric is an avid reader, aspiring surfer, Aspen Institute Fellow; he is offensively health-conscious and tries to be a fun father to his and Phyllis’ four children

Harish Peddina has got 5 years of experience in Debt Syndication post qualification of MBA from KIIT University, Bhubaneswar. He has assisted Businesses in disbursing facilities more than INR 1000 crores across various sectors i.e., Manufacturing, Agriculture, Real Estate and Educational segment. He is specialized in Corporate Finance, Business Consulting and Restructuring of transactions.

Before joining Unitus Capital, Harish was employed with Indusind Bank as a Relationship Manager and responsible for South Educational Vertical funding with average ticket size of INR 200 Crores.

Post work Interests: Cricket, Kabaddi and Badminton.

Harshika Srivastava is a seasoned HR professional, she comes with 10 years of experience in HR. She brings holistic experience of HR including Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Employee Engagement, Talent Management, and Performance Management. Her last stint was with Western Capital which was a NBFC, she played a crucial role in establishing & implementing the HR policies being a part of the initial set-up. She has also worked with Credit Sudhaar and Titan Company Ltd where she has got a multi facet exposure of HR function.

She holds a degree of Masters in Human Resources & Industrial Relations from University of Lucknow.

Harshit joined as an Analyst for the Equity team at Unitus in Jan’22. Prior to this, he worked as a Credit Analyst at Axis Bank Ltd. assessing creditworthiness for fund & non-fund-based limits for corporates covering various industries like Auto, Infrastructure, Pharmaceuticals, Plastic.

Harshit is a qualified Chartered Accountant, Company Secretary (AIR-15), has completed graduation in finance and accountancy, and is currently pursuing CFA Level III.

Harshit also loves playing cricket.

Heena joined Unitus in 2022 and is a part of UC’s Equity Fund assisting in fund raising and pipeline building. Prior to joining Unitus, Heena was part of Capital-A, an early-stage proprietary capital fund where she helped set-up operations and invested in various startups. Before Capital-A, Heena was part of Deloitte and worked with their M&A Transaction Services practice and in Ernst & Youngwhere she worked with their Risk practice.

Heena is a Chartered Accountant (AIR 37) by qualification and loves to spend her spare time insketching using ball point pens and solving Su-do-ku.

Ishita joined Unitus Capital in January 2022. She has 2+ years of experience in investment banking. Before joining Unitus Capital, she was working with a boutique investment bank focusing on real estate and MSME businesses. At Unitus, she is a part of the debt team and plays a key role in executing debt mandates.

She is a CA.

Khush joined Unitus Capital in March 2023. At UC, he is part of the equity team and is responsible for business initiatives along with collateral preparation for transactions. He has passed CFA level 2 and will now appear for his final level exam. He holds a Bachelor’s in Commerce degree from St. Joseph’s College of Commerce.

He has played professional cricket and represented in KSCA U-14, U-16 & U-19 interzonal tournament. He is a fitness enthusiast and is passionate about analysing the stock market.

Kylie has worked at the intersection of mainstream capital markets, impact investment and philanthropy since 2004 when she joined the team at Unitus Labs to lead their capital markets initiative. During her time at Unitus Labs, Kylie facilitated the delivery of growth capital for microfinance institutions across seven emerging countries and was instrumental in the launch of the Unitus Equity Fund, the first commercially focused microfinance equity investment fund. In 2008, Kylie co-founded Unitus Capital on the basis of this work and a commitment to mobilising capital to enable the success of businesses providing innovative market based solutions to environmental and social challenges.

In her home country of Australia, Kylie has been a key contributor to the development and growth of its impact investment sector. Her work in Australia includes authoring submissions and participating in round tables for commissioned studies of the Australian Government in regard to the development of the market for impact investment; consulting to and serving as an ex-officio committee member for the Australian Government in regard to Social Enterprise Development and Investment Fund (SEDIF); and co-authoring the feasibility assessment study and surveying investor appetite for the NSW Social Benefit Bonds (also referred to as social impact bonds) issued in 2013, which were the first in Australia and among the first in the world. Kylie is the Chief Investment Officer for Australian Impact Investments, a Venture Partner to the Giant Leap Fund – the first venture capital fund in Australia dedicated to impact businesses and an investment committee member of the Indigenous Real Estate Investment Trust. She also lectures on impact investment for the University of New South Wales and University of Western Australia.

Prior to transitioning her career to impact investment, Kylie was Vice President in the Project and Structured Finance Group of Citigroup, with more than 10 years experience in commercial and investment banking in New York and Sydney.

Kylie graduated in Commerce (Banking and Finance) at University of Canberra and has an MBA from the Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford in England.

Mona joined the Unitus family in August 2020; she comes with 25 years of banking and impact investing experience. She raised and managed an $89 Mn growth equity fund at Caspian and was on the Investment and Credit Committees across various funds aggregating ~$200 Mn. As Caspian’s board nominee, she played an active role in managing the portfolio to meet the commercial and impact objectives of the fund. The funds secured several profitable exits that included secondary sales, trade sales and IPOs. She started her career at Citibank, where she led the bank’s foray into Inclusive Finance.

Mona holds an MBA from XLRI, Jamshedpur, a B.A. (Hons.) in Mathematics from Delhi University and completed a Private Equity program at Said Business School, Oxford University.

Naman Jain joined Unitus Capital as an Analyst in the Debt team in January 2023. Prior to this, he worked as a Customer Success Analyst at Accern Corporation, a New York based fintech startup where he leveraged his analytical skills to research and present use cases to clients using Accern’s no-code AI platform. He also has experience as an Equity Research Analyst at Crispidea, Bangalore covering Aerospace & Defence sector and conducting financial analysis to present recommendations and valuations to clients.

Naman holds a Bcom Hons degree with specialization in Finance & Investment from Christ University, Bangalore. He has also cleared the first two levels of the CFA Program.

In his free time, Naman enjoys playing tennis, football, and cricket. He was a state-level cricket player and has a passion for sport.

Nikesh joined Unitus in 2022 and has 11+ years of Investment Banking (Private Equity/M&A) and Merchant Banking experience. He has worked across multiple sectors – Financial Services, Healthcare, Agriculture, Consumer during these years.

Prior to Unitus, he has worked with Intellecap Advisory (an Aavishkaar Group Company) and CapitalSquare wherein he assisted small to mid-corporates to raise equity rounds from institutional investors (Private Equity, Venture Capitalists, Impact Funds, DFIs, Sovereign Funds). Prior to this, he has worked with Intensive Fiscal Services (Merchant Bank) wherein he managed Open Offers, Valuations, Due Diligence and Private Equity Assignments.

Nikesh has done his MBA from NL Dalmia Institute and Bachelors of Management and Studies from Jai Hind College, Mumbai

Patricia has been associated with Unitus Capital for the past 10 years. She manages the day-to-day functioning of the office, organizing training, handling travel accommodations, updating admin and HR policies, managing stationary procurement, and so on. Prior to joining Unitus Capital, she was associated with AMD Far East Ltd as an admin manager, providing administrative support, raising purchase orders, and processing invoices.

Patricia has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Mount Carmel, Bengaluru, and an MBA degree from St. Joseph’s College, Bengaluru.

Prerak joined Unitus in May 2023 and has 16+ years of experience in Investment banking and corporate strategy. He has worked across sectors including healthtech, fintech, consumer and distribution.

He has previously worked with Panini Advisors, YouFirst, Reliance Capital, Edelweiss and JP Morgan. Through his career he has worked on coverage, fundraising, M&A and corporate strategy.

Prerak is a Chartered Accountant.

Richa has over 15 years of experience in investment banking and advisory services across Unitus Capital, Deloitte and Ernst & Young. Prior to Unitus Capital, she was part of the business valuation practice at Deloitte in the US where she worked on valuations of businesses and intangible assets. Before Deloitte, Richa worked with the Corporate Finance practice of E&Y in India.

Richa holds an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh with a specialization in Finance and Operations and has a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from Bangalore University.

Rima has 11+ years of experience with Bank of Baroda in Corporate credit, Transaction Banking, Resource mobilization in India and the Middle East. There, she specialized in Real Estate, Manufacturing entities, Structuring deals. She carries deep sectoral knowledge on various banking operations and potent network across geographies and functions.

At Unitus, Rima is responsible for tracking financial services and structured product advisory.

She is a certified associate of IIB&F- CAIIB; Post Graduate Diploma in Finance; Bachelor of Commerce.

Sachin has 4.75 years of experience in the field of Accounting and Finance stream. Before UC he has worked as Senior Associate with Vistra Corporate Services Pvt. Ltd. where he was taking care of End-to-End Accounts, Payroll and compliance for the clients, he has done B.com from Mangalore University and Masters from VTU, Belgaum.

His interests include Swimming, travel and food.

Sanchit joined the Equity team at Unitus in early 2022. Prior to joining UC, Sanchit worked as an Audit Senior in Ernst and Young focusing on Statutory and Tax Audits in Industry, Infrastructure and Consumer sectors.

Sanchit is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has cleared CFA Level 2. He is a B.Com (Hons.) graduate from Sri Venkateswara College, University of Delhi.

Sandeep is the Company Secretary and Accounts Manager at Unitus

Previous work experience: Before Joining Unitus, he worked with Oriplast Ltd., a PVC manufacturing company in Kolkata, as an Assistant Company Secretary. He has also worked with Super Smelters Ltd., a TMT Bar making Company.

Education: Sandeep holds a Bachelor’s degree in commerce from Calcutta University. He is an Associate Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India and has also passed Chartered Accountants Intermediate Programme.

Shainky has 7+ years of experience in investment banking and advisory services across sectors. Working closely with entrepreneurs, he executes capital raising goals across sectors and brings onboard like-minded investors.

Simmi has 23+ years of experience in financial services with extensive expertise in supporting access to capital for sustainable startups and social enterprises.

She is recognized as a thought leader for impact investing and climate finance in India. She is also a frequent speaker on inclusive finance and an advisor and mentor to several sustainability programs, accelerators and startups.
Simmi has won multiple accolades for contribution to inclusive finance including ‘Fintech Entrepreneur of the Year’ and a mention on AIMWI’s ‘Top 100 Women in Finance’.

She has worked in various capacities with Greenfunder, Climate Finance Initiative, Grameen Impact India, Intellegrow, Morgan Stanley and ICRA.

Simran joined Unitus Capital in August 2021 with 3+ years of experience. Prior to joining UC, she worked in Valuation and Financial/Tax Due Diligence across Grant Thornton and Consulere Services LLP. At UC, she is a part of the equity team and is responsible for transaction execution and business initiatives. She has worked on fund-raising activites across sectors such as Electric Mobility, Renewable energy, Fintech and Rural Kirana.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Bangalore University and is a CFA level 3 candidate.

Simran is a trained singer and has performed across Bangalore.

Simran joined as an Analyst for the equity team in January ’2023. Prior to this she has a 3-year work experience in the banking sector, working at Northern Trust within their treasury department. She helped the bank model its balance sheet for several stress scenarios to optimize return on capital and manage liquidity.

She has completed all three levels of CFA. And graduated from Christ University with a degree in Bachelor of Business Administration (Honors), specializing in finance. In her free time, she loves to travel and try out new cuisines.

Simrit joined Unitus as an Analyst in April 2023, having worked for over 4 years across Investment Banking and Venture Capital.

Previous Experience: Worked with Asialink Advisors, a boutique Investment Bank based in Mumbai, wherein he advised a leading Fintech lender on its series B fundraise.

He holds a Masters in Finance from Esade Business School, Barcelona and completed his B.com (Hons) from Delhi University.

He is a fitness enthusiast and avidly follows Tennis and MMA. He also loves reading non-fiction books in his free time.

Sravani assists in building the Agritech and Vehicle Finance practice at Unitus Capital. She has worked across sectors including financial inclusion, agritech, fintech, MSME finance and jobtech. She works closely with entrepreneurs and investors to bring meaningful capital to impactful companies.

Sumanth joined Unitus as an Associate in the Equity Team. He has over 4 years of deals experience
across EY and Chrysalis Capital in diverse sectors like Fintech, Health Tech, E-commerce, Real Estate and Home Services.

Sumanth is a Chartered Accountant and has cleared his CFA Level 2.

He is an explorer by heart. He loves exploring the world from the depths of the ocean as a certified open water diver, through dense rain forests to the top of snowcap mountains as a seasoned hiker.

He is deeply passionate about maintaining a sustainable lifestyle and regularly participates in hiking trail cleaning and replantation drives.

At Unitus, Sushant handles equity fundraises and M&A for impactful companies.

Sector coverage & expertise: He has 9+ years of experience in the investment advisory space. He tracks the Consumer Fintech, Tech and Vehicle Finance sector at Unitus

Previous work experience: Previously worked as an Equity Research Analyst at Goldman Sachs. Before that, he was with TresVista Financial Services assisting global PE and VC firms on their investment evaluations.

Education: An MBA from S.P. Jain School of Global Management and BE from Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum. Level 1 cleared for the CFA certification.

Vidhi joined Unitus Capital in Feb 2023. She has previously interned at IIFL securities as a stock trader focusing on technical analysis. She has done her bachelor’s in financial markets(BFM) and currently she is pursuing CFA. At Unitus she is working for both Equity and Debt deals.

Vikas joined Unitus in 2009. He has helped develop the processes/ procedures and relevant controls to build financial integrity. He leads the finance and operations team, including the finance & accounting team, investor reporting, cash management etc. He has over two decades of experience spearheading the finance function and managing alternative funds. His experience specializes him in unlocking shareholders value by structuring transactions and businesses.

Previous work experiences: Prior to Unitus, he worked with Max New York Life Insurance and WNS.

Education: Vikas is a Chartered Accountant and has Honors in commerce from Delhi University

Vivek Jeyakumar has 9+ years of experience in the debt fund raising domain. Previously he was with Fourth Partner Energy Private Ltd where he was part of the debt funding raising team for their international portfolios raising debt from DFIs and impact investors. He has also worked for ICICI Bank in Corporate Banking and Debt Syndication Team.

Education: Vivek has done his MBA from Welingkar Institute of Management, Development and Research, Bangalore and holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from Mumbai University.

Other Interests: Vivek is massive sports buff and is a fan Arsenal Football Club. He loves to travel and explore new cuisines and try out new cocktails.
