Friends of Tribal Society
Expanding Educational Opportunities - 2025
As part of our 2025 CSR initiatives, Unitus Capital partnered with the Friends of Tribals Society (FTS), A registered society under the West Bengal Registration of Societies Act, 1961. Through this collaboration, we supported the establishment of Ekal Vidyalayas in India by funding the operational costs of running the schools.
Under this initiative, Unitus Capital supported 10 school, with FTS serving as the implementing agency. FTS ensured that tribal and migrant children who were out of school gained access to basic education, were admitted into mainstream schools in age – appropriate classes and received guidance through evening study programs. They also conducted student enrolment campaigns, promoted hygiene practices, and encouraged children to continue their education, helping them build a foundation for a successful future.
Nammane Summane
Providing Inclusive Shelter & Care - 2024
At Unitus Capital, we believe in fostering inclusive growth and supporting communities that make a meaningful difference.
In 2024, our CSR efforts supported Nammane Summane, an inclusive welfare trust and NGO based in Bengaluru, founded in 2020 by Nakshatra, a trans woman. The orangization provides shelter, food, education, and healthcare to orphans, intersex people, transpersons, LGBTQIA+ individuals, people with HIV, those with disabilities, and senior citizens. Despite facing initial prejudice, Nammane Summane has grown into a vital refuge for vulnerable individuals, offering dignity, safety, and hope to those in need.
To help them bring this vision to life, Unitus Capital contributed towards the construction of the new facility. This initiative reflects our continued commitment to inclusion, compassion, and creating lasting social impact.
Mrida Education & Welfare Society
Empowering Tribal Youth through Education - 2024
At Unitus Capital, we are deeply committed to driving social change through education, inclusion, and empowerment. As part of our CSR initiatives for 2024, we partnered with Mrida Education and Welfare Society, an NGO formed in April 2016 with a mission to end poverty in the tribal belts of rural India. Mrida works to empower middle and high school students through career guidance, vocational training, and skills development, enabling them to build better futures for themselves and their communities.
The organization operates primarily in Mandla district, Madhya Pradesh, a densely forested region surrounded by the river Narmada and home to the Gond and Baiga tribes. These communities face economic hardships and limited access to quality education
To strengthen Mrida’s impact, Unitus Capital extended support across multiple areas that enhance the learning environment, infrastructure, and overall well-being of the children. This included providing essential hostel and kitchen supplies, improving classroom technology and safety infrastructure, and assisting in the development of a new campus with hostel and sports facilities for tribal girls. We also supported health and hygiene initiatives, sports and nutrition programs, and the Vidya Sahyog learning initiative in collaboration with the Lotus Petal Foundation to improve English and Math outcomes. Additionally, we contributed towards operational efficiency through accounting, compliance, and hostel management support, ensuring long-term sustainability of Mrida’s work.

As part of our 2022 CSR initiatives, Unitus Capital contributed to the PM CARES Fund (Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund), established in March 2020 to provide relief during national emergencies, including the COVID-19 pandemic.
Through this contribution, we supported initiatives aimed at relief and assistance in public health emergencies, including the creation or upgradation of healthcare and pharmaceutical facilities, funding relevant research, and strengthening necessary infrastructure. The fund also provided financial assistance and grants to affected populations and supported other emergency-related activities to address calamities, whether natural or man-made.
