Detailed Bio

Mona has joined the Unitus family in August 2020, she comes with 25 years of banking and impact investing experience. She raised and managed a $89 Mn growth equity fund at Caspian and was on the Investment and Credit Committees across various funds aggregating ~$200 Mn. As Caspian’s board nominee, she played an active role managing the portfolio to meet commercial and impact objectives of the fund. The funds secured several profitable exits that included secondary sales, trade sale and IPOs. She started her career at Citibank where she led the bank’s foray into Inclusive Finance. Mona holds an MBA from XLRI, Jamshedpur, a B.A. (Hons.) in Mathematics from Delhi University and completed a Private Equity program at Said Business School, Oxford University.
