Unitus Capital was the sole advisor on LeapFrog Investments' maiden transaction in India - a groundbreaking deal that extends insurance, savings and investment products to those earning less than US$2.50/day in the underserved Indian market.
Unitus Capital helped SKS Microfinance, one of India's largest MFIs, raise US$360 million in equity in what was the first microfinance IPO in India.
In June 2011, Unitus Capital helped Janalakshmi, a Bangalore-based MFI, raise US$14.4 million. It was the first significant private equity deal after the onset of the AP crisis.
In February 2011, Unitus Capital generated substantial interest from both social and early-stage technology focused funds to raise US$1.1 million for Vindhya, a BPO company that hires a range of differently-abled people.
In 2009, Unitus Capital worked with Bandhan on their first significant equity transaction, helping them raise US$11 million in equity from the Small Industries Development Bank of India. Bandhan is India's largest MFI and was ranked second best in the world by Forbes in 2007.
