Position Summary:

Position Summary: The Director / Managing Director will be a senior leader within our firm, responsible for independently originating new business, building strong relationships in the investor community, overseeing deal execution and working towards strengthening UC’s brand. This position presents an excellent opportunity to have a leadership role at the firm and become a trusted financial advisor to our clients. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Originate new business opportunities from existing and new clients.
  • Oversee deal execution across a variety of industry sectors and products, including structuring capital market solutions and advising clients on M&A matters.
  • Develop and maintain a strong network of client and investor relationships which add value to the franchise
  • Strong finance, tax and legal knowledge in international capital markets. Find creative capital market solutions to client needs

Qualifications:

  • 10 – 15 years of relevant investment banking experience
  • Significant capital markets and / or M&A transaction execution experience; Exceptionally strong investment banking skills in one or more product areas, especially equity
  • Track record of independent deal origination / revenue generation
  • Existing client, investor, and/or regulatory relationships that bring value to the organization
  • Strong command of theoretical finance concepts with a desire to mentor and teach junior colleagues
  • Demonstrated abilities in team leadership, mentoring and training
  • Excellent presentation skills, both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of financial institutions, MFIs, and / or social investment space, a plus

The media and communications lead will be an integral member of our team working across the company to support UC’s media and communications strategy.

Responsibilities: 

The media and communications lead will be responsible for independently managing and leading the entire activity of UC in the media/communications sphere, including, but not limited to:

  • Strategy - Developing and implementing UC’s media and communications strategy

  • Managing Corporate Website - Regular updates on UC deal data and UC coverage in the media, Regular content generation for UC Blog, by co-authoring/authoring blog posts, Implement new features and changes as necessary to keep the content relevant and accurate, Managing social media channels, Handling and updating UC official Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn channels and increasing social media visibility

  • Mailing database / Service & Publications - Authoring and managing release of UC quarterly newsletter and other publications, Co-Authoring and managing release of UC quarterly impact investment report, Managing and keeping the mailing databases up to date with coordinates of: (i) Investors, (ii) Clients, (iii) Board and other stakeholders, (iv) Media professionals

Position Summary:

Summary: 

The Associate Vice President is an integral member of our team working directly with Vice Presidents and Senior Management in all facets of our business, including origination and execution of transactions, and building relationships with investors and industry experts.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work on a wide range of assignments/transactions, from initial client pitches through transaction closings, mergers and acquisitions; and other strategic advisory services.

  • Lead transaction execution including investor reachout and pitches, negotiation of terms, working with third-party service providers like lawyers, valuers, due-diligence agencises, etc, advise and fnalization of definitive documents, closing,etc

  • Communicate regulatory, financial information and complex strategic issues in a clear, concise and relevant manner to assist and guide transaction structure

Reporting Relationship:
The analyst will be part of the Debt Capital Markets team, reporting to senior team members on various debt transactions.
 
Position Summary:
The debt analyst is a key member of the UC team, , and this position presents an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of debt transactions for social enterprise clients, focusing on sectors like Financial Inclusion, Renewable Energy, Education, Agriculture, Healthcare, Women Empowerment and Fintech, helping them obtain funding from a wide range of lenders, both domestic and international

Primary Responsibilities:
